![]() ![]() I would never EVER pay that amount of money which people ask for a Photoshop license, which can even be time limited on top! I think the pricing for Photoshop is almost criminal, and their attitude alone is enough for me to avoid Photoshop. Furthermore I have a huge collection of brushes purchased from Ron (Deviney), they all work very well. I use Paintshop in combination with a WACOM tablet and also FilterForge 4. But I installed also my old Paintshop Pro 9, which works finr with Windows 8.1 and 64bits (not supporting all processor cores though). Only reason I decided to upgrade to Paintshop Pro X7 was that I needed support of my new computer with 64bits, and the huge RAM. ![]() I used Paintshop Pro 9 since 2003 until last year, 2014. Storage - Samsung 500gig 970 EVO m.2, Samsung 500Gig 860 EVO SSD, 2X 2Tb Segate Barrcuda hard drives. I use Poser 12 on Windows 10 - Set up is a quiet running PC thanks mainly to a Fractal Design XL R2 case and 4 large fans, Gigabyte AMD Aorus X399 Xtreme E-XTX Motherboard, AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU. I am using X2 but looking at X7 it might be time for me to raid the piggy bank. I have used the PSP 8 on Windows 7 in the past but eventually upgraded. Photoshop has newer tool that have been added for modeling and printing but have to consider the cost of this program. Gimp is fine for basic editing unless plug-ins for effect or or drawing are hidden some where. ![]() the old psp 8 had drawing tools and some other tools and effects that came with that version. The newer paint shop from corel seems to be centered around correcting or changing photos. Is any one still using the early jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 on the newer windows system from OSVer. ![]() Quote - Ok folks rereading my first question -Should have ask it this way. ![]()
